a short trip to Melbourne

We visited Melbourne a couple of weeks ago. Only for a few days, but I hold so many precious memories of our stay.
While Dougal had some work to do in the office, we played with the kids in the beautiful garden of Peter and Jelly. Had Friday dinner with their family, something I miss so much living so far from my own.
And on Saturday we strolled along the streets of Melbourne, doing nothing, lunching in a cute little Spanish restaurant, sitting in a retro cafe while Isabelle was sleeping in the buggy, playing in the park.
Being a city girl myself, I always feel so much more alive there.
Here are some pictures to document our visit. x

Ps1: Thank you, Peter and Jelly, you have the most beautiful garden and the best shower! x
Ps2: Isabelle's learnt another new word: 'plane'.

excuse my absence

I've been very lazy with the blog lately.
But I've been busy with other things: launching the facebook page of my little business (www.facebook.com/paperdollstyling), taking driving lessons to pass a driving test (in order to be able to still drive in Australia after receiving my permanent residancy 2 months ago) and organizing a Cinderella birthday party for Lydia (Paul and Elena's daughter).
I only have time to post one picture today.
Please excuse my absence. x

18 months

Isabelle has turned 18 months yesterday. The day of macarons, babycino, a big box of Lego Duplo and lots of love. And the fridge broke at night. x

Ps: I got quite sentimental, so a post with lots of pictures of her first 18 months is coming soon.

gardening and the big bed

Dougal was gardening with Isabelle today as the weather was  nice and warm. We had our first lunch outside after a long-long time (I think the last one was before we went to Europe, which was 5 months ago now).
Dougal made Isabelle's favorite pasta : basil pesto and green beans. The dessert was cocoa coated bananas which I made under 60 seconds ( the same time it took for them to disappear from the plate!).
After lunch Isabelle fell asleep on the big bed with Daddy. Dougal left and Isabelle had her first nap by herself in the big bed ever.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend too! x
